With 17 years of dance experience and 6 years of teaching experience, Russell is a highly skilled and accomplished dancer and educator. Russell has developed an academic-based teaching system and has successfully nurtured female solo champions in the elite groups for ages 12, 14, and 16.
In 2019, Russell was invited to perform on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, sharing the stage with China’s famous host Sa Beining and Hong Kong singer G.E.M. (Gloria Tang).
Russell studied under Liang Shiyuan, a pioneer of Latin dance in China, at Beijing Baihui Dance Academy, where they began formal training at the age of 13. During their time at the academy, Russell won multiple Under 21 Youth Group Championships.
After graduating in 2022, Russell became a professional dancer and joined the Chinese Art Vocational Education Association National Team. They have represented China in international competitions across the UK, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Russell’s notable achievements include:

In 2023, Russell performed in the opening dance for the Guangdong TV Belt and Road Event and choreographed the Latin dance performance for the 2024 National Games Opening Ceremony focusing on national fitness.
